Frolickers of all kinds are welcome – Vendors, shoppers, musicians, families, paraders and more.

Please contact the Flatbush Development Corporation to rent a space, register your group for the Banner Parade, or get more info about the Frolic, Brooklyn’s home-grown street festival. Our community, one of the most diverse in New York City, celebrates together – its not just tube socks and sausages (although we have them, too).

We look forward to seeing you in September!

  • Hula hooping never goes out of style.  A true contest for all ages.  Who does it better the kids or the grown ups? Meet in the Just for Kids area of the Argyle Tot Lot.
  • Barbershop Buzz Off –  Local barbers compete for the coveted Hair-itage Trophy (established 2012) while you watch. Between E16th and E17th Streets.
  • Young artists create something special in the Tot Lot.
  • Adopt your new best friend from the Sean Casey Animal Shelter.
  • The Smokehouse mobile vehicle from the FDNY so kids can practice fire safety.

Stepping off from Coney Island Avenue at 11:15am marching toward Ocean Ave. Concludes at the Main Stage.  Line up along the street fair to see your friends, neighbors, and fun things.

Started in 1977 by the Flatbush Development Corporation it has been our longest running street fair to date. This year the “Frolic” will be held on September 18th, 2011. There will be live bands along side hundreds of food, merchandise and arts & crafts vendors exhibiting thier wares. There will also be a designated kiddie area with live music and games.
