Stepping off from Coney Island Avenue at 11:15am marching toward Ocean Ave. Concludes at the Main Stage. Line up along the street fair to see your friends, neighbors, and fun things.

Interested in having your group march in the parade? Neighborhood groups! Boy scouts! Girl scouts! Everyone’s invited.

Frolic Contests Announced!

This year there will be fun contests for all ages (from grandchild to grandpa) all day long! What’s ahead? In the “You Make It – We Judge It” Contest Area look for these contests. No sign ups required:

Best dressed dog contest – Bring your fancifully dressed pooch. Big or small we judge them all.
Have tasty fun at the cookie stacking contest. Can you build the highest tower or will it be the leaning tower?
Hula hooping never goes out of style. A true contest for all ages. Who does it better the kids or the grown ups?
And of the course the annual pizza pie eating contest will be back. And it moves to the mainstage for to accomodate all the excitement.
Spend the rest of the day unleashing your inner artist at the found art activity using interesting found and recycled objects.

And beyond the Eastern Stage… the 3-on-3 basketball tournament returns! Have a team? Sign up ahead of time at FDC office (1616 Newkirk between E 16th and E 17th or call us at 718-859-3800).

The 33rd annual Flatbush Frolic street fair will be Sunday, September 12th, 2010! The event will span Cortelyou Road from Coney Island Avenue to Ocean Ave.

We look forward to frolicking fun with thousands of neighbors, visitors, and anticipate over 150 unique vendors.

The Flatbush Frolic is Cortelyou Rd’s annual street fair. Started in 1977 by the Flatbush Development Corporation it has been our longest running street fair to date. This year the “Frolic” will be held on September 13th, 2009. There will be live bands along side hundreds of food, merchandise and arts & crafts vendors exhibiting thier wares. There will also be a designated kiddie area with live music and games.
